The Dancing with the Stars season 9 lineup will include Supermodels Joanna Krupa and Kathy Ireland. The two stunning beauties are looking to break the string of pretty faces being eliminated first. Joanna Krupa and Kathy Ireland are two of the most recognized names not only in the United States, but on an international scale, which may help them secure more votes than some of the models in the past.

The assumption with Dancing with the Stars voting is that people want to root for the underdog, and a models always tend to come into the show with the connotation that they have a step up on the competition because of their looks. Actress and model Brooke Burke was able to break the trend of models being sent home early in the Dancing with the Stars season seven, when she was partnered with Derek Hough. Now both Joanna Krupa and Kathy Ireland are hoping they can overcome the largest cast in Dancing with the Stars history, as the Dancing with the Stars 2009 lineup includes sixteen different competitors.

Past models that have appeared on Dancing with the Stars include Shanna Moakler from season three, Kim Kardashian from season seven, Paulina Porizkova from season four, Holly Madison from season eight, Shandi Finnessey from season four, and Rachel Hunter from season four just to name a few. There has not been a short supply of models that have been interested in participating in Dancing with the Stars. Joanna Krupa is a model from Poland who was voted the Sexiest Swimsuit Model in the World by Maxim Magazine. Kathy Ireland is of course a frequent visitor to the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and a former supermodel turned entrepreneur.

Both Kathy Ireland and Joanna Krupa have a tough road ahead of them against the rest of the Dancing with the Stars 2009 lineup, but as with any of the contestants, they have a great shot to take home the title with some strong performances. By competing in the first place they are taking the first step towards the mirror ball trophy, and if they can come out strong against the rest of the Dancing with the Stars 2009 lineup they could find themselves scoring very well in the later weeks of this season. The Dancing with the Stars 2009 season premiere is scheduled for Monday, September 21st at 8:00 P.M. PST and EST.
